education gives you the flexibility to study a university degree without needing
to visit a campus. As a distance education student you study the program
content through a number of means including the use of online discussion
forums, electronic library resources, by contacting lecturers, and receiving
all study materials online or by post. Distance education programs at
CQUniversity can be studied from anywhere in Australia.

When
studying by distance education you will have access to all CQUniversity
libraries. You can visit any CQUniversity library or utilise the range of
online resources available to support your learning. You have access to a
number of online resources that meet the needs of distance education students,
including e-journals, e-books and a variety of other electronic resources. You
are encouraged to borrow books using an online booking system and a free
service in which the requested books are posted to your home.
CQUniversity
libraries also offer innovative information literacy programs to those studying

As
a distance education student you can also access and use Learning Network
Queensland centres at about 50 locations throughout Queensland. Most centres
offer the use of computers, printers, scanners, Internet, email, fax,
photocopiers and video-conferencing equipment.

CQUniversity’s
Distance Education Study Centres, located in Adelaide, Brisbane, Cairns,
Emerald, Melbourne and Sydney, are designed to be vibrant hubs providing
CQUniversity distance education students a place to call home. CQUniversity
prides itself on providing you with the flexibility to study your own way and
realises the importance of staying connected with you.These Centres give you a
place to access support, form study groups and access resources and technology.

As
a distance education student you can also visit any of our campuses in
Bundaberg, Gladstone, Mackay, Noosa or Rockhampton and access similar student
support facilities.
Residential
Schools
If
you choose to study by distance education, you may be required to attend a
residential school. Residential schools involve a period of time that distance
education students must spend on campus. Not all courses have residential
schools, however it is important to note those that do as these schools are
generally classed as compulsory and must be attended to fulfil the course
requirements.
Residential
schools are an important part of the programs offered at CQUniversity allowing
you to network with lecturers, students and industry specialists, whilst
getting hands-on, practical work experience in your chosen field of study.

If
you are considering returning to study after some time away from the books,
CQUniversity can help you. We have a free program that will help you get in to
university while teaching you the skills and knowledge to succeed.

you do not meet the traditional university entry requirements, have not studied
for a number of years or did not finish high school, we have a program to suit
