PhD Scholarships in Accounting and Finance at University of Edinburgh in UK, 2015
University of Edinburgh is offering PhD Scholarships for overseas students. Up to three PhD scholarships are offered per year in Accounting and/or Finance. Applicants must have Masters Degree from an accredited university in the UK or overseas, with evidence of above-average academic achievement. Up to three PhD scholarships are offered for three years. The application deadline is 1 May 2015.

Eligibility: A Masters degree from an accredited university in the UK or overseas, with evidence of above-average academic achievement (more than 65% overall in your Masters) and the ability to undertake independent research (MSc dissertation at distinction level).
-Applicants with a First or 2:1 Bachelors degree will be considered if they have an outstanding research proposal and prior support from a prospective supervisor in the Business School. In such an instance, you must contact an appropriate supervisor before applying.
-An International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of at least 7.0 overall, or the equivalent from our approved list of certificates
-Successful applicants will be expected to contribute to our teaching programmes during their second and third years of the scholarship.

Scholarship Open for International Students: EU/Overseas students are eligible to apply for the scholarship programme.
PhD Scholarships in Accounting and Finance
Scholarship Description: The PhD can be studied over three years full-time or six years part-time. Students are encouraged to present papers at conferences. Students are encouraged to submit articles for publication in refereed journals. The School has links with other schools in the University allowing students with cross-disciplinary interests to find expertise, support, and supervision.
Number of award(s): Up to three PhD scholarships are offered per year.
Duration of award(s): The award will be awarded for three years.
What does it cover? The award will be for three years, subject to satisfactory progress, at the following rates:
-European Union candidates: standard EU tuition fee plus maintenance fee of £14,000 per year
-Non-European Union candidates: standard non-EU tuition fee plus maintenance fee of £14,000 per year

Notification: Recipients of the scholarships are usually announced approximately 15 May.

UniCredit & Universities Crivelli Europe Scholarship, 2015/2016

Applications are invited by UniCredit & Universities Knight of Labor Ugo Foscolo Foundation for one Crivelli Europe Scholarship. Scholarship is available for young graduates in economics, banking and finance who wish to take a PhD course at one of the best universities in Europe, in the USA or in any country where UniCredit is present. The scholarship amounts to €25,000 for the 2015-2016 academic year and is renewable for the second year. The closing date for application is 15 November 2014.

Scholarship is available to students for pursuing PhD program.

Eligibility:
To be eligible for the competition, candidates must:
- have obtained a degree in economics or finance with top final grades since 30 September 2012.
-either citizens of all 17 countries where UniCredit is present, with a degree from any university (also outside the geographical area of the Group)
-citizens of any nationality with a degree from any European university within the geographical area of the Group;
-have obtained a degree (at least three years in duration) in the fields of economics, banking or finance, with a final top mark, since 30 September 2012;
-must have good knowledge of the foreign language used in the university courses for which the scholarship will be spent.

Scholarship Open for International Students:
Citizens of all 17 countries where UniCredit is present (Austria, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey and Ukraine), international students with a degree from any European university within the geographical area of the Group are eligible to apply.

Number of award(s):
There is one scholarship available for students.

Duration of award(s):
25% of the sum of the scholarship is paid in advance, 25% after the confirmation of the beginning of attendance of the courses and the remainder in two equal deferred installments (one in January 2016 and one in April 2016), without prejudice to the possibility of the sums relative to the individual installments of university fees and any lodging expenses being paid in advance, upon documented request of the recipient. The scholarship is renewable for the second year.

What does it cover?
The scholarship amounts to €25,000 for the 2015-2016 academic year and is renewable for the second year. All tuition fees for the duration of the scholarship will be also reimbursed by the Foundation.

Selection Criteria:
The Foundation’s Scientific Committee will be responsible for the selection procedure and will identify the winner of the scholarship. The Scientific Committee, appointed by the Foundation’s Board of Directors, is composed of academic experts in economics and finance from the main European countries. The Committee intends to give priority to suitable candidates who will start a PhD in the fall 2015.

Notification:
The winner will be selected by the Scientific Committee of the Foundation and will be announced by 31 December 2014.

Candidates may only apply online using the application available on the Foundation’s website. All the documentation accompanying the application must be submitted exclusively online in PDF format and must be written in English.

Scholarship Application Deadline:
